It’s Good News for The Friends of Ravenhill Park 

We are thrilled to announce that after much

hard work we have received a small grant from

All for Wales ( Big Lottery Fund ) to buy a

large marquee and two smaller marquees to provide

shelter for our future fundraising events.

This means that if our spring and summer weather

turns out as unpredictable as last year we can still

carry on with our efforts to raise money for improved

equipment for the children's play area.

Another star on our report card is the total refurbishment

of our always popular MUGA court. The old goal ends were

badly rusted and in danger of collapse and court surface had

been vandalised which posed a serious safety risk to anyone

using the sports area. Our local councillor Ann Cook

once again came out fighting on our behalf and won.

Our sincere thanks to everyone who has supported our efforts to improve this lovely park for today’s users, our children and   future generations.
